Background Nutrilón is the leading brand in sales of infant formula food, the most recommended by pediatricians, and also the highest-rated brand by mothers. From the packaging design phase, an issue arose as the cereal packages were similar in format and color to the formula milks. At the same time, the design strayed from the cereal codes, emphasizing the confusion. The project The project had three defined objectives. The first and foremost was to ensure that consumers did not confuse formula milks with cereals. The second was for the packaging to transition from can to flow pack without losing prominence on the shelf. And lastly, the design needed to be attractive and have appetite appeal. The result Following brand guidelines in other markets, the new design presents a new color scheme, clearly separating cereals from formula milks. The ‘Nutrilón’ logo, which is a strong endorsement, is prominent, and the product image showcases the combination of ingredients with the prepared food.
