Background ‘Gonzalo, can you give me a hand with the cover of my book?’ Martín Cazenave, a surgeon who was a member of Doctors Without Borders, was a schoolmate of Gonzalo Berro. When they were about to print his book, Martín called Gonzalo and expressed his concern regarding the cover. The prestigious publisher, Random House, in charge of publishing the book, was working on the design and somehow the author did not feel identified with the proposed covers. The project A call between friends and an immediate response. Martín, in the confidence of friendship, asked Gonzalo if he could design a proposal in 48 hours because they were pressed for time. ‘Tell me what you imagine’ was Gonzalo's response, who, with years of experience interpreting verbal briefs, understood in that call what Martín's idea was. He asked for images to be able to translate that idea into a cover design and got to work with his team. The result The next day, Gonzalo sent him the design based on his interpretation, to which Martín automatically replied with a ‘Thank you, my friend, it’s what I wanted.’ Then Martín shared the design with the editor and she loved it. 48 hours after the call, Grupo Berro delivered the final art and the book went to print.
