Background More than 10 years ago, Molinos decided to venture into the healthy snacks category with the Gallo Snacks brand. From the beginning, it hired Grupo Berro for the development of branding and packaging design. With the endorsement of the Gallo brand, a specialist and leader in the rice category, the Gallo Snacks line has been consolidating over the years to become a reference in the innovative healthy snacks category. We have been working in different stages, launching and evolving the designs of the packs for all its products to keep them current. In the process, we noticed that very few brands have a recognition as strong as the iconic symbol of the Rooster. As part of the ongoing evolution of the brand identity, along with the client, we decided that the symbol could be applied alone, without the name written, while maintaining clear recognition. Thus, between 2022 and 2023, we redesigned the entire family of products with an innovative, youthful, and colorful design. The new challenge The client called upon us to work on a new product in the line, but this time it would not be a rice-based snack; instead, the new proposal was to launch popcorn made from corn grains. The challenge was to align the product with the Gallo snacks family while achieving its own personality that highlights the novelty. The result Under the whimsical name "Pop snacks," we designed the sub-brand using the same typographic alphabet as the entire line, but we developed the graphics in a more playful style with the typical traits of popcorn.
