BIENVENIDOS AL TREN (the musical inspired by Argentine Rock)
When a great story finds an identity worthy of accompanying it.
Some projects arrive with a brief. Others arrive with a conviction.
When Gustavo Fillol first shared the idea for "Bienvenidos al Tren" (Welcome Aboard the Train) with us, it was still a work in progress: a musical inspired by the iconic Argentine rock scene of the 1980s, woven together with the memory of the Falklands War, the return to democracy, the first friendships forged at university, and the songs that defined an entire generation.
"I remember telling Gustavo almost immediately that I had no doubt this story would one day reach Corrientes Avenue. There was something in its sensitivity—in the way it blended drama, humor, and music—that transcended the context for which it had originally been conceived," recalls Gonzalo Berro.
At Grupo Berro, we had the privilege of creating the visual identity and design system for the project, striving to capture that same balance of emotion, nostalgia, and energy while building a brand capable of reflecting the production’s distinctive personality.
What began as an initiative born within a school evolved into a true cultural phenomenon. Performance after performance, audiences filled the theaters, with tickets selling out months in advance and prompting additional shows that once again drew thousands of spectators.
For us, this project represents far more than an identity design assignment. It is proof that when a great idea finds the right language through which to express itself, it can connect deeply with people and exceed every expectation.
Because design does not create a great story. But it can help an extraordinary story find the stage it deserves.
