Background
Adler is a brand with over 120 years of history, born in Germany in 1897 to produce the iconic triangular cheeses. Only in 1959 did it settle in Argentina, in the province of Santa Fe, and founded the production plant in San Jerónimo where they began to produce the renowned Adler cheeses. Undoubtedly, in our country, Adler is synonymous with cheese and is a brand very much loved by Argentine families.
“When I went to primary school, I always carried some Adler cheeses in my backpack. Today, to be designing this brand that accompanied me throughout my childhood fills me with joy,” comments Gonzalo Berro.
Development
As part of our design method, when we started the project, we traveled to Santa Fe to see and learn about the process of processed cheeses and to find what would be the guiding idea of the new design. What we highlighted from that visit was the quality of the raw materials. All the brand's products are made with the best cheeses from Savencia Argentina and with real ingredients.
The work consisted of removing fanciful images, as well as polishing some graphic details of the renowned brand without losing the distinctive features of the logo. Then, we dressed the products with a new packaging design that showcases the quality of ingredients that the consumer will taste when opening each of the products that make up the Adler line.
We also extended the new branding to the entire line and worked on the launch of the new melted cheese containers under the brand “Adler Cremoso”, a new line that values the true pioneer of spreadable melted cheeses in Argentina.
Result
The result is clear; today Adler appears renewed. Its packaging line features its traditional triangles in two formats and various flavors, also offering the lines “Pic a Dip” and “Adler Cremoso”, completing the portfolio with the new “Adler Fondue” and “Adler Sandwich In,” its line of sliced cheeses ideal for sandwiches or hamburgers.
The packaging looks stunning and highlights the renewed recognized logo, also photographically showcasing the quality of its ingredients. The new design invites consumers to try a brand that genuinely offers the quality it promises in each of its cheeses.
